Users & Permissions
Who can sign in, and what each role can do. Open it from Admin Console → Users & Permissions — two tabs: Users and Permissions.
Users
- Every user is a staff member — creating a login starts from a staff record (or adds one), and their details prefill the account.
- The username checks itself — availability as you type, with suggestions when taken.
- Roles — six system roles (Admin, Manager, Sales Executive, Technician, Staff, Viewer) plus your custom ones; Sales Executives carry a monthly target that drives their Performance view.
- Seats — the counter tracks your plan's user limit; at the cap, deactivate someone or upgrade.
- Deactivate, don't delete — deactivating keeps history; delete exists for mistakes.
Permissions
- The matrix — every module against view, create, edit, delete, grouped exactly like the sidebar. Ticking any action grants view with it; unticking view clears the module.
- Admin is locked — always full access, never editable.
- Custom roles — start with view-only Dashboard access; grant the rest in the matrix. Saving a role applies to everyone who holds it.
- A user's row shows their effective access read-only — access is managed per role, not per person.
