Stock Transfers

Moving stock between stores: source loses, destination gains, item totals stay true. Open it from Inventory → Stock Transfers — you need at least two company profiles.

A transfer and its reversal: the before-and-after preview, confirm, then cancel to move the stock back.

What you can do here

  • Create a transfer — pick the route (changing the source clears the lines), then items from what the source actually holds; quantities clamp to availability.
  • Review before it moves — the confirm step shows every store balance, before and after, then moves the stock in one transaction. Transfers complete immediately — there is no draft state.
  • Cancel is the reversal — a completed transfer is reversed by cancelling: the same preview in reverse, the stock moves back, and the record stays as Cancelled.
  • Print the memo — with dispatch and receipt signature lines.
Every move on record — Completed or Cancelled, never deleted.

Good to know

  • A transfer can't be edited after creation — only cancelled.
  • Cancelling is refused when the destination no longer holds the goods to send back.
  • Items — the per-store stock these moves rearrange
