Sale Orders
A sale order is a confirmed booking: it reserves stock the moment it's saved and can take any advance — the balance collects at billing. Open it from Sales → Sale Orders.
What you can do here
- Book an order — contact, lines (the picker shows stock, booked, and available), and optional advance payments in any amount; no coverage rule applies to orders.
- Convert to Invoice — bills the order, collects the balance, releases the reservation, and closes the order. There's no confirmation step — it opens the invoice form pre-filled.
- Track the pipeline — the list shows each order's total, balance, and status: Opened, Closed (converted), or Cancelled.
- Print, PDF, export — per row or from the view.
Good to know
- A converted order is view-only — "edit the invoice instead" is the rule; it can't be deleted either. Corrections happen on the invoice or via a return.
- Deleting an open order releases its reservation — the stock is free again.
- You close an order by converting it — the status can't be set to Closed by hand.
