Dashboard

The Dashboard is the first screen after you sign in — every user can open it, no permission needed. It shows how the business is doing right now and jumps you into the day's common jobs.

The Dashboard in half a minute: the four cards, the card picker, quick actions, and the panels.

What you can do here

  • Read the four summary cards — the default set is Sales, Receivables, Purchases, and Stock value.
  • Swap cards with the gear button (Choose cards): tick exactly four from the full set — Sales, Receivables, Collection rate, Average bill, Stock value, Low stock, Purchases, Open sale orders, Installations, Commitments.
  • Jump into work with the quick actions: New Invoice, New Order, New Installation, Add Contact.
  • Scope to one store with the All Store Locations dropdown (appears only when you have more than one company profile).
  • Follow the charts — Revenue this month against last month's average day, Stock by category, plus Recent invoices and Open sale orders panels with View all → links.
  • Finish setup — until the required setup steps are done, a Finish setting up RetailDek checklist sits above the cards and links each step to the right screen.
The Dashboard: summary cards on top, quick actions at the top right, charts and panels below.

Good to know

  • Quick actions and cards follow your role: an action needs create permission on its module, and a card is offered only when you can view the numbers behind it.
  • Your card choice is saved in this browser, per user — another computer starts from the default four.

Troubleshooting

A quick action, card, or the store filter is missing

Actions and cards are permission-scoped — ask your administrator to check your role under Admin Console → Users & Permissions. The store filter only appears when the business has more than one company profile (Admin Console → Settings → Company Profiles).

  • Contacts — the customers and suppliers behind the receivables
  • Items — the catalog behind the stock cards
