Delivery Challans

Goods on the move, with the paper the road asks for: vehicle, driver, transporter, LR number. A challan moves goods on paper — stock deducts when it's billed. Open it from Service & Delivery → Delivery Challans.

A manual challan with transport details, and where delivered, converted, and returned fit.

What you can do here

  • Raise a challan — against a sale order or invoice (consignee and lines fill in automatically; trim quantities for a partial trip), or with manual items. Types: Delivery, Job Work, Approval, Branch Transfer.
  • Mark Delivered — records who accepted the goods, by name.
  • Convert to invoice — bills the challan, deducts the stock, closes and links it. The pending banner counts challans with goods out but not yet invoiced.
  • Mark Returned when the goods come back; print or download the challan any time.
The status walks Open → Delivered → Converted; the pending banner keeps unbilled deliveries visible.

Good to know

  • Only open challans can be edited or deleted.
  • Offer-priced sale orders can't be delivered by challan — the discount can't split across part deliveries; bill those orders directly.
